Event #1

Transfer from Manchester United to Manchester City made by Carlos Tevez was one of the most popular topics in football industry during the last season. It would seem that one player changed the club in order to continue its career. Many people do the same every year and not only in sport, but Manchester United and Manchester City are antagonists and have very bad relations between each other, although it contradicts to principles of Olympics, so it is a good topic to talk about for the media. Unfortunately, confrontation between clubs is supported and inspired by the media. "Sometimes you have a noisy neighbour. You cannot do anything about that. They will always be noisy," declared Ferguson. (Mirror Football)

Football matches between these clubs were one of the most scandalous and expected in the last European football season. Tevez was one of the reasons of the growth of interest for games between these clubs. The media supported and stirred up interest to these games by various ways and some of them were unethical. This lead to situation, when Manchester United players accused their ex-partner of perfidy “Neville thinks Tevez is over-priced and Tevez fires back that Sergeant Nev is an "idiot", a "boot-licker" and a tarado (moron)” (Guardian)

Confrontation was worsen to the situation that “Abdul Diouf was punched and kicked to the ground because he was wearing his brother's shirt from the Carling Cup final, with the player's surname emblazoned above the number 32 – as worn previously by Carlos Tevez.” (Guardian)

Everybody has a right to change working place and football players are not exceptions. They are people as journalists, but when journalist transfer from one newspaper to another nobody attains him, so why can the media persecute Carlos Tevez? The answer is sport and the media are partners and “hot news” will increase interest and revenues for football industry and for these football clubs particularly.
