Introduction

This topic has been chosen because many results such as football championships 2005, 2006 in Italy were fabricated by money influence and destroy principles of Olimpism.

The main idea of Olympic movement is freedom and friendship. It has to help to unite people, to stop conflicts among people. Unfortunatelly, nowadays these objectives are being destroyed and one of the most important reasons for that is the media which switches the interest in sports from all aims stated above to the financial profit. Media decides which kind of sports and/or events will be covered and what will be emphasized in the coverage. Usually media covers only what is profitable. Everything left out is presented as being an important.

On the other hand, commercialization has some advantages. Sportsmen have high incomes and can earn their living, people have the opportunity to enjoy all the sporting events across the globe without leaving their homes, stadiums are upgraded to be more comfortable and sporting events become more and more entertaining. Moreover, popular sportsmen such as Alessandro Del Piero, Michael Phelps and Nikolay Davidenko have a significant influence on the mind of people, they can encourage people what to do and what not to do and many people want to be like they are, because they are symbols of how poor person can become successful, rich, and famous.

So it will be interesting and challenging to discuss about the influence of media on sport results and psychology of people.
